With each generation, fashion evolves exponentially. From poodle skirts to leather jackets to boot-cut jeans and back again, fashion has seen it all and is starting to see it all again! Today, many people’s closets are influenced by who they follow on social media. These creators call themselves street fashion influencers.

Gen Z is making waves in the fashion industry too! Read all about it here!

What is “Street Fashion?”

Street fashion, more commonly referred to as “street style,” is a category that wasn’t developed in a high-end fashion studio but by the people! Street fashion is generally associated with younger generations and is most often worn in urban city centers.

You might be wondering, “Why is street fashion so popular?” This fashion trend is popular with the younger generations because it is meant not to have any rules. Unlike other forms of fashion, street style does not follow defined criteria, and the style was not created purposefully, but it was much more kismet.

In addition, street fashion does not reflect any specific style. It is meant to allow people to express themselves however they see fit. Street fashion gained popularity towards the end of the 20th century, catching the attention of younger crowds and trend spotters, taking note as well as visual photographers finding the style intriguing to photograph.

Fast forward a couple of decades, street fashion has not gone out of style, and it doesn’t seem like it will be any time soon. Street fashion is still so popular. In fact, influencers base their entire feed and branding on posting about different street fashion styles they love, and their followers love them too.

Street fashion influencers post their favorite trends, brands, and styles of the time to show off their individual style and hopefully inspire others to try new and more inventive things with their wardrobe. With that in mind, here are the top street fashion influencers to inspire your wardrobe!
